A quick update from us to say we have been blown away by the quality of some of the stories we have received in the submissions pile for Vivid Worlds. We are down to the final few stories and will take some time over the next week to make our decisions. If you have sent us a story, you should hear back from us by 8th February. [EDIT: apologies, I am running behind on getting the emails out, but it will be in the next couple of days!]

We will shortly be able to show you the cover too, which is once again designed by the versatile Northampton artist, Paul Alex Condie, who provided the artwork for Laughs in Space, and also happens to be a fantastic musician, check out a couple of his tracks on Bandcamp.

I’ve also been looking over the sketches for the cover of Hiding Under the Leaves, and trying to pick my favourite. The artwork for that will be by Kev Rooney, aka Cult of Nyx, whose talents stretch from writing to creating comics to game design. Find out more about his work here.

Submissions for the folk horror anthology, Hiding Under the Leaves, will open on 9th February.
