Hello everyone. I’m sitting in my office, listening to the wind shaking the trees in the garden. I think autumn is very much here and so I’m very much gearing up for the season of fluffy socks, big mugs of hot chocolate, and getting cosy with some spooky reads.
Speaking of which, the print version of Hiding Under the Leaves will be available to pre-order within days, and I can’t wait for you all to be able to get your claws on these awesome folk-horror stories. If you are coming to World Fantasycon we will be launching the book there, but should also have copies at any in-person event that The Slab Press is attending from next week onwards.
If you prefer e-books, the pre-order button is already there for the Kindle version of the book. We will also be able to provide an e-pub format via Payhip which I hope will be pleasing news to many of you. At the moment, it’s not possible to pre-order the e-pub, but it is in a hidden part of our store, waiting to go.
I have also been having a look at adding our back catalogue to the Payhip store. I currently have no plans to publish Dark Horses as an e-book, and Laughs in Space is still going to be Kindle only for a while, but I have added Vivid Worlds to the new Payhip shop front. I have had a few enquiries for this book as an e-pub since its launch, and it makes sense for this solar punk anthology to be available from somewhere less…dubious. It means I have had to remove it from Kindle Unlimited, but for the very few of you reading the book that way, you should have until October 17th to get the book finished.

The Slab have added more in-person appearances to the calendar for this autumn, so do check that out. Neil and I look forward to seeing you!
We are next due to see people in Derby this coming Saturday for Edge-Lit, and a few of our books will be available for sale! I’m really looking forward to being able to go to panels this time and chat with people. Also, JL Worrad and RJ Barker are running the raffle this time, which should be a laugh.
