I hope you had a great World Book Day yesterday. Here at The Slab Press, we’re having our Vivid Worlds Book Day today instead, because I get to announce the writers and stories that will be featuring in our upcoming solarpunk anthology – plus reveal the cover designed by Welsh designer Paul Alex Condie.

It is still quite an auspicious day to announce the ToC, because March 7th is, very aptly the start of the 5th World Conference on Climate Change and Global Warming in Vienna, which is just the sort of event where they will be discussing the very sorts of ideas and innovations that the solar punk genre concerns itself with.
We will be sharing a launch at Eastercon in Belfast with the awesome Luna Press, who just this last weekend celebrated their 10th anniversary.
Without further ado, here are the writers and stories that will be making up Vivid Worlds – and I can’t wait to share them with you.
Holly Schofield, Oil and Water
Cécile Cristofari, Tractors in the Mist
R.J.K. Lee, Don’t Blame the Tanuki Temple Thief
Toshiya Kamei, Post-Apocalyptic Survey of the Heart of Hokkaido
Ana Sun, Emily’s Farewell Coat
Rose Maxwell, Echolocation
Caolán Mac An Aircinn, Once More Unto the Breach
Cecil Wilde, The Story Keepers
Sierra Bibi, Blood and Water
Sue Oke, Final Report
