I was at a rock and metal one-dayer when I had the idea for a horror anthology about music.
After all, why not? From The Rocky Horror Picture Show to Studio 666 music and horror have been happy bedfellows for a long time.
Screams and Wails has been my most popular call for submissions title yet so I can see what a thirst there is for this combination of genres – and I couldn’t be happier with the line-up, which I thought I would present like a festival poster…
As tempting as it was to go for some of those indecipherable death metal band logos, I think the authors deserve us to be able to read their names!

The anthology is launching at Fantasycon which is taking place at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, in the Hebrides room on Saturday 10th October at 3pm. Several of the authors will be present to sign your books including: Gregory Lawrence, Benedict J Jones, Teika Marija Smits, Tom Johnstone, Tiffani Angus, and David Cartwright. The Slab Press will also have a presence in the dealer’s room for the entire weekend.
